Investment companies
As to the investment fund statistics, comprehensive information is collected on funds open to the general public and specialised funds, which were created by domestic investment companies and investment stock corporations, in order to invest collective investment funds jointly in observance of the principle of risk diversification pursuant to section 1 of the Investment Act (Investmentgesetz). Each month, the report supplies data on the amount and composition of funds assets, units outstanding and units sold, issue and repurchase prices, inflows and outflows of funds.
The aggregated results are published in the Statistical Supplement 2 Capital Market Statistics and listed in tables.
Furthermore, the results of the harmonised euro-area investment fund statistics are made available as tables.
