Assessment of the Research Centre of the Bundesbank
Since its foundation in 2000 the Research Centre supports academic work and scientific research activities in the Bundesbank. Last year a group of external experts were commissioned to evaluate the activities of the Research Centre and to propose improvements. In their assessment report the experts underline the importance of research in the Bundesbank and identify substantial progress since the foundation of the Centre. They also suggest a number of improvements for its work. The Bundesbank has now commented the report and presented the steps it intends to take implement the proposed improvements.
