
On the basis of an agreement with the EU, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City can distribute Euro Coins, too.
In San Marino the €2 coin depicts the Government Building and the €1 coins shows the official coat of arms of the Republic of San Marino. The reverse sides of the cent coins bear the Three Tower, La Guaita, La Cesta and Il Montale (50 cent), St Marino inspired by a painting of the school of Guercino (20 cent), the Basilica of San Marino (10 cent), the first tower La Guaita (5 cent), the Statue of Liberty (2 cent) and the third tower Il Montale (1 cent).
