Survey on the stock of open OTC contracts of banks active in the market at the end of both June and December. Part of the global semi-annual OTC derivatives statistics of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS).
Parties required to report
Credit institutions which, in their group accounts for the year preceding the survey, report a nominal amount of all outstanding OTC derivatives of more than €1,000 billion or a nominal amount of outstanding credit derivatives of more than €100 billion.

Contents of the report
Bank survey of foreign exchange and derivatives market activity in Germany that is conducted every three years. Part of the Bank for International Settlements’ global triennial central bank survey. The last survey was conducted in April 2010, the next will be conducted in April 2013.
Parties required to report
Monetary financial institutions (MFIs) whose combined short-term external assets and liabilities held in foreign currency at the end of April of the calendar year preceding the year of the survey exceeded the equivalent value of €1 billion. Institutions whose combined short-term assets and liabilities held in foreign currency do not exceed €10 billion may use a simplified reporting form.

Reports must be submitted by the 30th business day after the end of the reference month April. For the 2010 survey, the deadline was 16 June 2010.
