We sometimes employ external applicants – preferably with vocational training – as wage earners in the Lower Service for lesser-skilled jobs in various areas of the Bundesbank. For example, there could be employment opportunities for handymen, postal staff, auxiliary staff, craftsmen, chefs or cleaning staff.
Remuneration at the Bundesbank is in accordance with the applicable regulations governing public sector employment.
As an employee, your pay is based on the wage agreement for the public sector (Tarifvertrag für den öffentlichen Dienst) and the supplementary regulations. In addition, a bank allowance may be granted, the amount of which depends on whether you work for our Central Office or for one of our Regional Offices. In general, your pay depends on your qualification and any work experience as well as your duties and your individual performance.
We offer a wide range of further training options which are specially tailored to your needs.
In principle, the Bundesbank gives particularly skilled and qualified staff in the Lower Service the opportunity to advance to the Intermediate Service and change to more highly graded areas of activity.
