Capital market statistics

The Statistical Supplement 2 Capital market statistics includes the securities issues statistics, the shares issues statistics, the stock exchange turnover and derivatives statistics as well as the statistics on investment funds.

Here you will find information about sales and purchases as well as amounts outstanding of debt securities issued by residents, about these securities’ yields and average prices, about the term structure of interest rates in the debt securities market, about shares issues by residents; about the number, shares outstanding and net sales receipts of German investment funds as well as the asset structure of these funds.

Securities deposits statistics

The harmonisation of the statistical reporting requirements for the financial accounts as well as for the balance of payments and the international investment position in the euro area required a change of the collection procedure for the securities deposits statistics. Beginning in December 2005, the frequency of the collection of securities deposits has been changed from annually to quarterly based on a security-by-security reporting system. Special Statistical Publication 9 "Securities deposits" contains the data collected according to the previous reporting procedure up to the end of 2004; for the "new" deposits statistics, first statistical results are available, broken down by categories of banks.
