As part of its functions relating to monetary and foreign exchange policy, the Deutsche Bundesbank monitors current business developments and analyses a broad spectrum of economic issues. The subjects range from topical questions regarding monetary policy and the evaluation of the latest statistical data to general questions on the principles of economic policy and studies which are more geared to economic theory.
Many of the results of these analyses are published - particularly in the Deutsche Bundesbank's regular Monthly Report and in its Annual Report. The Monthly Report also contains an extensive statistical section, and additional data are published in the monthly Statistical Supplements.
In addition to these regular publications, further material is also available on various topics and subject areas. The Discussion Papers contain more academically oriented studies prepared by the Research Centre or presented at conferences and workshops.
