SEPA procedural rules

SEPA procedural rules for payment service providers with a bank sort code

For participation in the RPS SEPA clearer, the Deutsche Bundesbank’s procedural rules for the settlement of SEPA payments  via the RPS SEPA clearer (Procedural rules for SEPA credit transfers) and the Deutsche Bundesbank’s procedural rules for the settlement of SEPA direct debits  via the RPS SEPA clearer (Procedural rules for SEPA direct debits) apply.

SEPA procedural rules for account holders without a bank sort code

For participation in the SEPA Customer Access Mechanism (CAM SEPA), the Deutsche Bundesbank's “procedural rules for the settlement of SEPA credit transfers by data telecommunication for account holders without bank sort code (Procedural rules SEPA credit transfers for account holders without bank sort code)” and the “procedural rules for the settlement of SEPA direct debits by data telecommunication for account holders without bank sort code (Procedural rules SEPA direct debits for account holders without bank sort code)” apply.

 

Procedural rules RPS

To participate in the Retail Payment System (RPS), the "Procedural rules of the Deutsche Bundesbank for the handling of files in DTA format via data interchange (EDI) in the Retail Payment System (RPS) - Rules RPS"

 

Procedural rules CAM

To participate in the Access Mechanism (CAM), the "Rules of procedure of the German Central Bank for the settlement of euro payments in foreign currency and bank procedures (CAM) - Rules CAM"

 

Procedural rules electronic account information

For the retrieval of electronic account information, the "Procedural rules of the Deutsche Bundesbank for retrieval of electronic account information - Rules electronic account information"

 

EBICS procedural rules

With its electronic access for credit institutions, which is based on the Electronic Banking Internet Communication Standard (EBICS), the Deutsche Bundesbank offers a communication channel based on accepted protocols and standards which is capable of processing the growing data volumes in the data exchange between payment service providers with bank sort code efficiently, securely and cost-effectively.
The procedural rules define the amendments to the EBICS standard which are required for the exchange of data between payment service providers with bank sort code, specifications for a fully automated processing system and the Bundesbank's range of EBICS-based services for the following applications: retail payment system (RPS), customer access mechanism (CAM), SEPA clearer (SCL) and electronic account information (EAI).

 

SWIFTNet FileAct procedural rules

The agreements define the specifications required for the exchange of data between banks via SWIFTNet FileAct with the Deutsche Bundesbank.
