DESCRIPTION:Surveys on household expectations are a prime source for supp
 orting the analysis of financial stability\, monetary policy transmissio
 n and the effects of central bank communication. The Bundesbank and Banq
 ue de France conference will bring together researchers from academia\, 
 central banks\, and other policy institutions to present research findin
 gs related to household expectations and methodological advances in cond
 ucting household expectation surveys. \n\nMonika Piazzesi (Stanford) and
  Olivier Coibion (UT Austin) have already confirmed their participation.
  \n\nPapers in the programme will be assigned discussants. The conferenc
 e will also feature a \nspecial session on the Bundesbank Online Pilot S
 urvey on Consumer Expectations. \n\nThe main topics of interest include:
 \nHousehold expectations on economic issues\, including real estate\, co
 nsumption\, inflation\, labour markets\;\nExpectations and monetary poli
 cy\;\nInsights into the expectation formation process\;\nMethodological 
 advances in both online and offline surveys\, with a focus to internet-b
 ased consumer expectation surveys\;\nAnalyses using data from the Panel 
 on Household Finances and the Household Finance and Consumption Survey.
