TRANSP:TRANSPARENT
UID:2024_06_06_climate_change_and_central_banks_923764
DESCRIPTION:The series consists of seven events\, taking place once a wee
k with presentations and discussions of about one to two hours per sessi
 on.\n\nApplication deadline\n\n31 May 2024\n\nObjective\n\nCentral banks
are increasingly concerned with the challenges posed by climate change.
On the one hand\, these risks could affect central banks’ ability to ac
hieve their monetary and financial stability objectives. As such\, faced
with climate- related risks\, central banks must ensure that their oper
ational frameworks remain efficient. On the other hand\, central banks m
ay also consider supporting the transition to a low-carbon\neconomy wher
e they have a clear policy remit to do so. The effects of climate change
and action are manifold and have multi-disciplinary impact across natio
nal borders. In this lecture series\, we present work on climate change
in different areas of the Bundesbank in a national and international con
