 25\n\nObjective\n\nThe course is designed to provide off and on-site ban
 king supervisors with an understanding of how off-site or line supervisi
 on and on-site inspections are carried out at the Bundesbank. The course
  will also introduce and explain the European supervisory review process
  (SREP and ICAAP/ILAAP).\n\nThe focus is on risk-based supervision. In p
 articular\, supervisory experts from the Bundesbank will provide backgro
 und policy information and share hands-on experience of how Pillar 2 of 
 the Basel framework is implemented (e.g. for credit\, market or operatio
 nal risk). The course will include interactive sessions in which partici
 pants will be invited to give short presentations about specific aspects
  of supervisory processes in their home country and share their experien
 ces.\n\nContent\nIntroduction to supervision in Germany and Europe\nIntr
 oduction to SREP\, ICAAP and ILAAP\nIntroduction to the tasks of a JST s
 upervisor\nIntroduction to on-site inspections (approach\, types\, plann
 ing and organisation\, process\, documentation)\nIntroduction to the Ger
 man qualitative regulations as laid out in the Minimum Requirements for 
 Risk Management (general risk management requirements and specific aspec
 ts\, e.g. liquidity\, credit\, ICT or ESG risks)\n\nTarget group\n\nThis
  course is aimed at experienced banking supervisors. Participants should
  be familiar with the supervisory policies and practices applied in thei
 r home country. A good understanding of the current Basel framework is e
 ssential for productive participation. Moreover\, participants should be
  prepared to actively contribute to discussions\, e.g. via presentations
 .\n\nPlease note\n\nA nominating person is mandatory for the participati
 on in our in-person courses.
