 bjective\n\nEfficient and secure payment systems are the foundation of a
  stable financial system. The Bundesbank secures and monitors cashless p
 ayments in Germany\, acting as a financial hub providing settlement and 
 clearing services and playing an active role in the further development 
 of the Single Euro Payments Area. In this course\, participants will dee
 pen their knowledge of payment and securities settlement systems and wil
 l be introduced to the current state-of the-art technology deployed at t
 he Bundesbank and within the EU. The course is designed to help particip
 ants enhance and refine the payment and securities settlement systems in
  their home countries in a targeted manner\, as well as to give them new
  insights into developments in this key area of central banking. Partici
 pants will be expected to make an active contribution to the discussions

 uments\nWorkshops on issues related to payment and settlement systems\n\
 nTarget group\n\nThe course is designed for mid-level and senior employe
 es of central banks. A solid background in payment clearing and settleme
 nt issues is essential for constructive and productive participation in 
 the course. Participants should be familiar with the payment system poli
 cy and practices applied in their home countries. Additionally\, they wi
 ll be invited to take an active part in the discussions and case studies
 \, covering topics such as T2S\, oversight and innovations.
