 esent the revised Core Principles for Effective Banking Supervision with
  a focus on the latest changes in 2024. Participants of this online cour
 se will also have the opportunity to gain insights into the topic of imp
 lementation. \n\nContent\nBackground\nThe latest review of the Core Prin
 ciples\nMain areas of change\nImplementation\n\nLecturer\n\nMonika Spudi
 c is a Member of the Secretariat of the Basel Committee on Banking Super
 vision (BCBS)\, the primary global standard setter for the prudential re
 gulation of banks. In this role\, she currently supports the work of the
  Policy and Standards Group. She has also supported the Basel Core Princ
 iples Task Force in its most recent review of the Core Principles for ef
 fective banking supervision\, as well as the BCBS work on financial tech
 nology\, proportionality and supervisory cooperation.\n\nPrior to joinin
 g the BCBS Secretariat\, she was a policy advisor at the Australian Prud
 ential Regulation Authority (APRA) working mainly on banking regulation 
 and macroprudential policy.\n\nMonika received a Bachelor of Laws and Ba
 chelor of Business (Finance) from the University of Technology Sydney an
 d a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney.\n\nTarget group\n\nThi
 s online course is aimed at colleagues in central banks and supervisory 
 authorities who are interested in understanding the content and implemen
 tation of the Basel Core Principles. It is especially useful for colleag
