DESCRIPTION:Objective\n\nThis course is designed to provide off- and on-s
 ite banking supervisors with an understanding of how off-site or line su
 pervision and on-site inspections are carried out at the Deutsche Bundes
 bank. The course will also introduce and illustrate the European and Ger
 man supervisory review process (SREP and ICAAP/ILAAP).\n\nIt will focus 
 on risk-based supervision. The Bundesbank’s supervisory experts will pro
 vide background policy information and share hands-on experience in impl
 ementing Pillar 2 of the Basel Framework (e.g. for credit\, market or op
 erational risk). The course will include interactive sessions in which p
 articipants will be invited to give short presentations about specific a
 spects of supervisory processes in their home country and share their ex
 periences. In this way\, they will receive a broad overview of the varie
 ty of national individual supervisory approaches.\n\nContents\nIntroduct
 ion to supervision in Germany and Europe\nIntroduction to SREP\, ICAAP a
 nd ILAAP\nIntroduction to the tasks of a JST supervisor\nIntroduction to
  on-site inspections (approach\, types\, planning and organisation\, pro
 cess\, documentation)\nIntroduction to the German qualitative regulation
 s as laid out in the Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (general r
 isk management requirements and specific aspects\, e. g. liquidity\, cre
 dit\, ICT or ESG risks)\n\nTarget group\n\nThis course is aimed at exper
 ienced banking supervisors. Participants should be familiar with the sup
 ervisory policies and practices applied in their home country and be pre
 pared to share their knowledge with the other participants in the group\
 , also in the form of a short presentation.\n\nPlease note:\n\nA nominat
 ion is required in order to participate in our in-person courses.
