DESCRIPTION:Objective\n\nTransparency and communication are crucial for c
 entral banks’ credibility and the effectiveness of their policies. In or
 der to foster credibility\, central banks need to increase their transpa
 rency. They can achieve this by engaging in clear communication and by p
 roducing focused messages aimed at different target audiences using appr
 opriate communication channels.\n\nThis course provides an overview of t
 he Bundesbank’s external communication work within the Eurosystem. It sh
 eds light on the concepts\, channels and content of our central bank com
 munications. Participants will learn how the Bundesbank communicates wit
 h the press and the general public\, whilst also touching upon the educa
 tional services we offer schools. Participants will also have the opport
 unity to experience a guided tour of the Bundesbank’s money museum.\n\nA
 s good internal communication is a key driving force behind employee com
 mitment\, the course will also deal with different approaches and format
 s used for internal communication at the Bundesbank and how this communi
 cation is then evaluated. Participants will gain insight into how the Bu
 ndesbank fosters communication between top management and employees as w
 ell as within peer groups. \n\nIn addition\, the course will give partic
 ipants an opportunity to share their experiences and discuss best practi
 ces in the field of central bank communication.\n\nContents\nMedia relat
 ions and media evaluation\nCommunication with general public\nCommunicat
 ion via social media and the Bundesbank’s website\, video and streaming\
 nInternal communication (direct communication formats) and internal medi
 a (staff magazine\; social intranet\; electronic newsletter)\nPolitical 
 communication\nEconomic education and Bundesbank’s money museum\nMultili
 ngual communication in times of machine translation and GenAI\n\nTarget 
 group\n\nThe course is aimed at central bank staff working in the area o
 f central bank communication (public relations\, press office\, etc.) or
  actively dealing with communication issues in other areas of their inst
 itutions. Applicants should be willing to share their experiences and ac
 tively contribute to discussions during the course.\n\nPlease note\n\nA 
 nomination is required in order to participate in our in-person courses.
