Comment on 1984 With effect from 6 June 1984, the exchange rates were adjusted sharply. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): 5 June 1984 DEM 1 = PHP 5.1436 / 5.4241 6 June 1984: DEM 1 = PHP 6.5700 / 6.9321 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the Philippine peso depreciated by 21.7% (calculated on the basis of the middle rates).
