General * With effect from 4 February 2003, the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was reconstituted as "Serbia and Montenegro". At the same time, the dinar, which remained legal tender only in Serbia, was renamed from "Yugoslav new dinar" to "Serbian dinar" (ISO code: CSD); in Montenegro, the euro has been the sole legal tender since 1 April 2002. Since 3 June 2006, Serbia and Montenegro have been independent states; as of 25 October 2006, the ISO code for the Serbian dinar was changed from CSD to RSD.
