General Croatia introduced the Croatian dinar (HRD) as provisional legal tender with effect from 23 December 1991. The Yugoslav dinar was converted to Croatian dinar at a rate of 1:1. With effect from 30 May 1994, the kuna (HRK) was introduced as Croatia's new legal tender. The Croatian dinar was converted to kuna at a rate of HRD 1,000 = HRK 1; the Croatian dinar could be exchanged for kuna at this rate until 31 December 1994. Comment on 1993-10 With effect from 4 October 1993, the exchange rates were adjusted sharply. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): 2 October 1993: DEM 100 = HRD 373,821.5000 / 377,578.5000 4 October 1993: DEM 100 = HRD 442,178.0000 / 446,622.0000 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the Croatian dinar depreciated by 15.5%.
Comment on 1992-04 With effect from 18 April 1992, the Croatian dinar was devalued. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): 15 April 1992: DEM 100 = HRD 6,679.9000 / 6,720.1000 18 April 1992: DEM 100 = HRD 9,371.8000 / 9,428.2000 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the Croatian dinar depreciated by 28.7%.
Comment on 1992-03 With effect from 6 March 1992, the exchange rates were adjusted sharply. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): 5 March 1992: DEM 100 = HRD 5,483.5000 / 5,516.5000 6 March 1992: DEM 100 = HRD 6,679.9000 / 6,720.1000 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the Croatian dinar depreciated by 17.9%.
