Comment on 1984-07 On 19 July 1984, the tala was devalued. We recorded the last exchange rates (buying/selling rates using the direct quotation method) before or the first rates after the devaluation as follows: USD 1 = WST 1.8545 / 1.9101 USD 1 = WST 2.0694 / 2.1315 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the tala depreciated by 10.4%.
Comment on 1983-02 On 7 February 1983, the tala was devalued. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate using the direct quotation method): 4 February 1983: USD 1 = WST 1.2531 / 1.2907 7 February 1983: USD 1 = WST 1.3941 / 1.4359 On the basis of the above-mentioned rates, the tala depreciated by 10.1%.
