Comment on 1992 On 25 November 1992, the Maltese lira was devalued. We recorded the following exchange rates (buying/selling rate): 24 November 1992: MTL 1 = DEM 4.8042 / 4.7922 25 November 1992: MTL 1 = DEM 4.3222 / 4.3114 On the basis of these exchange rates, the Maltese lira depreciated by 10.0%.
