DESCRIPTION:The workshop will be preceded by an online guidance for draft
 ing a use case proposal about 2 months beforehand.\n\nIf you want to ref
 resh your expertise and knowledge on selected advanced machine learning 
 methods ahead of the workshop\, we recommend you register for our online
  course Machine learning methods from 2 to 3 March 2026 (see link below)
 .\n\nObjective\n\nMachine learning is revolutionising the financial sect
 or\, offering powerful tools for data analysis and informed decision-mak
 ing. This course is designed for experienced professionals looking to ha
 rness these methods in their organisation.\n\nThe course consists of an 
 agile development workshop for participants to further develop their res
 earch or use case analysis and address the conceptual and practical chal
 lenges associated with its implementation. It features hands-on ideation
 \, programming\, and collaboration sessions\, including feedback from th
 e moderators and from peer-groups. Throughout the course\, participants 
 are expected to regularly present their progress\, share knowledge and p
 rovide feedback to peers.\n\nThe online part will guide participants on 
 how to draft a one-pager describing a selected use case in their domain\
 , which they will develop during the workshop.\n\nThis course provides a
  forum for central bankers\, regulators and supervisors to discuss strat
 egies for developing and implementing use cases that leverage advanced m
 achine learning methods. It presents a unique setting to exchange knowle
 dge and foster collaborative innovation.\n\nContents\nConceptual refinin
 g of use cases\nAgile development\nHands-on programming\nCollaborative e
 xchange and feedback sessions\n\nTarget group\n\nThe course is aimed at 
 data-savvy central bankers\, regulators and supervisors in areas such as
  information technology and statistics\, or research departments interes
 ted in implementing machine learning methods.\n\nRequirements\n\nPartici
 pants are expected to make an active contribution to the discussions and
  will be asked to present their use case and to provide feedback to othe
 r participants. \nYou will be required to submit and present a use case 
 for implementing machine learning in your own jurisdiction\, which you w
 ill (further) develop during the workshop. After registration\, we will 
 reach out to all applicants and ask for a brief description of their use
  case/project. If you need to bring a maximum of one additional colleagu
 e to Frankfurt to further develop and present your project as a team\, p
 lease provide us with this information in your application.\nTechnical r
 equirement: Please bring your own device to the workshop and ensure it h
 as a functioning Python installation so you can work locally. Also\, ple
 ase bring any sample data you plan to use for your use case\, ensuring i
 t is accessible from your device.\n\nSoftware and language: You should h
 ave a sufficient command in English and fundamental knowledge of data an
 alysis and statistical software (including commands in Python).\n\nPleas
 e note:\n\nA nomination is required in order to participate in our in-pe
 rson courses.
