DESCRIPTION:Objective\n\nEmployees are the most important asset of any or
 ganisation\, hence efficient management of human resources is critical t
 o providing an employee-oriented and productive work environment. This o
 ne-week course addresses a broad range of HR management aspects at the D
 eutsche Bundesbank and the Oesterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB)\, and ai
 ms to provide a platform for peer-to-peer exchange. Topics include HR st
 rategy\, resources planning and corporate culture\, as well as organisat
 ional and legal issues. A strong focus will be placed on HR instruments 
 such as recruitment\, training\, staff development\, career planning\, t
 he appraisal system\, employee feedback\, performance assessment\, bonus
 es\, promotion\, personnel marketing and job evaluation.\n\nThe course w
 ill include a mix of presentations\, practical exercises and working gro
 ups. Participants are expected to take an active part in the discussions
 \, drawing on their own experience.\n\nTarget group\n\nStaff from HR uni
 ts of central banks. Participants should have sound knowledge of the sys
 tems and procedures used in their respective institutions to manage HR i
 ssues.
