DESCRIPTION:Objective\n\nEfficient and secure payment systems are the fou
 ndation of a stable financial system. The Bundesbank secures and monitor
 s cashless payments in Germany\, acting as a financial hub providing set
 tlement and clearing services and playing an active role in the further 
 development of a Single Euro Payments Area. In this course\, participant
 s will deepen their knowledge of payment and securities settlement syste
 ms and will be introduced to the current state-of the-art technology dep
 loyed at the Bundesbank and within the EU. The course is designed to hel
 p participants enhance and refine the payment and securities settlement 
 systems in their home countries in a targeted manner\, as well as to giv
 e them new insights into developments in this key area of central bankin
 g. Participants will be expected to make an active contribution to the d
 iscussions. \n\nContent\nRole of the Bundesbank in payment and settlemen
 t systems\nPayment system analysis\nRetail payments: current development
 s\, innovations and secure retail payments\nTARGET Services: T2\, T2S\, 
 TIPS and ECMS\nCollateral management system\nOversight of payment system
 s and instruments\nWorkshops on issues related to payment and settlement
  systems\n\nTarget group\n\nThe course is designed for mid-level and sen
 ior central bank employees. A solid background in payment clearing and s
 ettlement issues is essential for constructive and productive participat
 ion in the course. Participants should be familiar with the payment syst
 em policy and practices applied in their home countries. Additionally\, 
 they will be invited to take an active part in the discussions and case 
 studies\, covering topics such as T2S\, oversight and innovations.\n\nPl
