 digital transformation progresses\, information technology is becoming e
 ver more important to the functioning of banks. At the same time\, howev
 er\, these technologies bear great potential for abuse and may be a sour
 ce of negligence and threats\, both internal and external. Supervisors t
 herefore need to focus their attention on the risks associated with the 
 use of information technology.\n\nThis course gives an overview of curre
 nt practices with regard to IT supervision at banks from both a regulato
 ry and practical perspective. The course will describe the general EU fr
 amework and its transposition into German law and regulatory practice. T
 he sessions will also discuss typical IT issues that banks face\, shed l
 ight on the evaluation techniques used by supervisors in their review an
 d evaluation process (SREP) and highlight specific IT problems depending
  on participants’ particular interests.\n\nActive participation is expec
 ted in this course\, and participants should be prepared to discuss typi
 cal issues and problems faced in the IT usage of banks under their super

 \, DORA\, MICA)\nGathering off-site information for the supervisory revi
 ew and evaluation process for IT (IT SREP)\nTypical findings from on-sit
 e inspections in Germany \nGroup work: understanding and evaluating an o
 n-site inspection report for IT\n\nTarget group\n\nPolicymakers in banki
 ng supervision\, on-site and off-site inspectors\, IT auditors. Particip
 ants should have at least an intermediate understanding of banking super
 vision and information technology. \n\nTechnical requirements\n\nCompute
