 nEmployees are the most important asset of any organization\, hence mana
 ging human resources properly is critical to providing an employee-orien
 ted and productive work environment. This one-week course addresses a br
 oad range of HR management aspects at the Deutsche Bundesbank and the Oe
 sterreichische Nationalbank (OeNB) and aims to provide a platform for pe
 er-to-peer exchange. Topics include HR strategy\, resource planning and 
 corporate culture\, as well as organizational and legal issues. HR instr
 uments such as recruitment\, training\, staff development\, career plann
 ing\, the appraisal system\, employee feedback\, performance assessment\
 , bonuses\, promotion\, personnel marketing and job evaluation will be f
 ocused on strongly.\n\nThe course will include a mix of presentations an
 d practical exercises and group works. Participants are expected to take
  an active part in the discussions\, drawing on their own experience.\n\
 nTarget group \n\nStaff from HR units of central banks. Participants sho
 uld have good knowledge of the systems and procedures used in their resp
 ective institutions to manage HR issues.
