DESCRIPTION:Objective\n\nEfficient and secure payment systems are the fou
 ndation of a stable financial system. The Bundesbank secures and monitor
 s cashless payments in Germany\, acting as a financial hub providing set
 tlement and clearing services and playing an active role in the further 
 development of the Single Euro Payments Area. In this course\, participa
 nts will deepen their knowledge of payment and securities settlement sys
 tems and will be introduced to the current state-of the-art technology d
 eployed at the Bundesbank and within the EU. The course is designed to h
 elp participants enhance and refine the payment and securities settlemen
 t systems in their home countries in a targeted manner\, as well as to g
 ive them new insights into developments in this key area of central bank
 ing. Participants will be expected to make an active contribution to the

 , TIPS and ECMS\nCollateral management system\nOversight of payment syst
 ems and instruments\nWorkshops on issues related to payment and settleme
 nt systems \n\nTarget group\n\nThe course is designed for mid-level and 
 senior employees of central banks. A solid background in payment clearin
 g and settlement issues is essential for constructive and productive par
 ticipation in the course. Participants should be familiar with the payme
 nt system policy and practices applied in their home countries. They wil
 l be invited to take an active part in the discussions and case studies\
 , covering topics such as T2S\, oversight and innovations.\n\nTechnical
