The focus of the “Bundesbank Online Panel – Households” lies on inflation expectations and expectations about macroeconomic developments, covering both recurring and wave-specific questions, designed and prepared by the Deutsche Bundesbank’s Research Centre in cooperation with internal and external experts. The survey consists of three waves in 2019 and several additional waves since April 2020, each with a sample of 2,500 to 5,000 individuals.

Given the dynamic situation, the surveys are currently being conducted at monthly intervals. Data from 2019 and from April 2020 to September 2022 are now available as a scientific use file (SUF) for research purposes. For the waves from April 2022 to September 2022 only recurring questions are available in the current SUF.
