When KEV was designed, great value was placed on high availability; therefore, all the Deutschen Bundesbank's hardware components are redundant. If KEV should nevertheless not be available during live operation or if you should have internal problems with accessing KEV, then submissions, updates and voluntary returns of credit claims as well as updates of ratings will be possible by fax as a backup procedure.
