DESCRIPTION:The Deutsche Bundesbank hosted its fourth International Cash 
 Conference from 10 to 12 September 2019 in Munich\, Germany. The theme o
 f the conference has been “Cash in the age of payment diversity”. Follow
 ing the concept of the previous Cash Conferences\, experts from academia
 \, public authorities (including central banks)\, special interest group
 s and the private sector were invited to present their cash related rese
 arch papers and to exchange views on cash-related subjects. We were prou
 d to announce Professor Lars Feld and Professor Bill Maurer as keynote s
 peakers. De Nederlandsche Bank attended this conference as our guest of 
 honor.\n\nThe conference aimed to improve the understanding of cash paym
 ent economics based on recent academic research in general and\, more sp
 ecifically\, to help identify possible developments and dynamics that wi
 ll shape the future cash payments landscape.\n\nThe event commenced with
  a welcome reception on the evening of 09 September 2019\, and continued
  from 10 to 12 September 2019 with lectures and discussions. The confere
 nce was held in English\; all papers and publications are available in E
 nglish only.
