DESCRIPTION:The Deutsche Bundesbank hosted its fifth International Cash C
 onference virtually from 15 to 17 June 2021. The overarching topic for t
 he conference was “Cash in times of turmoil”\, focusing especially on th
 e changing payment landscape and the future of cash.\n\nExperts from aca
 demia\, public authorities (including central banks)\, special interest 
 groups and the private sector were invited to present their cash-related
  research papers. We were proud to announce Professor Viviana Zelizer\, 
 Fabio Panetta and Brett Scott as keynote speakers.\n\nNature of conferen
 ce\n\nThe event was held virtually. The Cash Conference started on 15 Ju
 ne and continued with lectures and discussions on 16 and 17 June 2021\, 
 around 03:00 pm – 06:00 pm CEST.\n\nThe conference was held in English\;
  all presentations were thus available in English only. Conference parti
 cipation was free of charge.
