User detailed functional specifications

These user detailed functional specifications aim to provide TIPS users with the detailed functional and technical information they need to settle instant payments via TIPS. The current version, and the relevant XML schemas as ZIP files, are available under the link below. These files are designed to help the developers and to provide them with support in validating the messages.
The documents valid from 26 November 2021 are provided as final clean versions. Draft versions and documents with tracked changes can be provided upon request. They are also available on the website of the European Central Bank. Please note that the documents on CRDM and ESMIG already include descriptions regarding T2 and T2S which will only become valid after the go-live of the consolidation project. The content concerning TIPS applies irrespective of this.

The TARGET Services Connectivity Guide describes in general terms the connectivity to the Eurosystem Single Market Infrastructure Gateway (ESMIG). The ESMIG provides a single ac-cess point for directly connected actors to access TARGET Services. Access to the ESMIG is provided by the two Network Service Providers (NSP) selected by the Eurosystem, which are SIA-COLT and SWIFT.
