Dear subscriber,

[/#if]

we are pleased to present the current issue of our newsletter, in which we have the following topics lined up for you.

You can look forward to two new international central banking courses on the topics of “Revisions to the Basel Core Principles – insights from the Basel Committee secretariat” and “The results of the Bundesbank’s climate risk stress test”. Registration is now open.

We have shot a new image film that captures the lively atmosphere of our seminars. Join us behind the scenes for an up-close look at the making of this film.

Bundesbank Executive Board member Burkhard Balz and Dr Rama Krishna Sithanen, Governor of the Bank of Mauritius, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in March extending the agreement of close cooperation.

In February 2025, Bundesbank experts met with high-ranking guests from Kazakhstan to discuss best practices in HR management. Learn more about this intensive dialogue and fruitful cooperation.

We will take you with us to the Second Forum Bundesbank in Madrid, where experts discussed Germany’s economic challenges, the impact of current US trade policy and the potential trajectory of the European economy. International dialogue was promoted by the presence of prestigious participants.

In November 2024, around 80 experts from over 40 countries met in Frankfurt for the second Gold Conference. The event provided a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience on issues relating to the management and handling of gold reserves.

The Bundesbank’s Representative Office in Tokyo has kicked off 2025 with a fresh boost, with Dr Eugen Cleveland and Dr Coletta Frenzel Baudisch bringing a wealth of experience and fresh energy to our work in international cooperation. We invite you to meet the new team.

We hope our selection of topics captures your interest. Please feel free to recommend our newsletter to others. Happy reading!
