The new Bundesbank branch in Dortmund is taking over the cash supply for the entire Rhine-Ruhr region. It is the Bundesbank’s largest and most modern branch. In future, around 200 members of staff employed there will supply 12 million people with banknotes and coins. The new branch will replace the five existing branches in the region.

“We also need to keep an eye on the risks to the price outlook. In my view, the risks are tilted to the upside right now,”

The Network for Greening the Financial System (NGFS) has released its latest report, entitled “Adapting central bank operations to a hotter world”, which outlines specific options available to central banks to factor climate-related risks into their monetary policy operations.
