Legal basis

With regard to the submission and administration of credit claims, the following conditions and regulations for participation in MACCs need to be recognized.

Terms and conditions and procedural rules for domestic counterparties

  • The General Terms and Conditions of the Deutsche Bundesbank govern the basic legal relationships between the Deutsche Bundesbank and its counterparties.
  • The General Terms and Conditions for the Deutsche Bundesbank ExtraNet form the basic framework for using ExtraNet.
  • The Special Terms and Conditions for submitting credit claims as collateral (MACCs Terms and Conditions) contain the provision to be observed for the submission and administration of credit claims subject to German law and the supplements to the General Terms and Conditions for ExtraNet.
  • The Special Terms and Conditions for assessing the credit quality of non-marketable assets (Bonitäts-Bedingungen) govern the credit quality assessment of the credit claims.

Terms and conditions for the cross-border use of credit claims for foreign counterparties

For the cross-border use of credit claims in the CCBM procedure, the respective CCB terms and conditions form the legal basis for business transactions between foreign counterparties with the correspondent central bank (CCB) and the home central bank (HCB).
