Bundesbank NExt

NExt General information

“NExt” is the abbreviation for “New ExtraNet”, which is replacing the current ExtraNet. The first procedures in NExt have already gone live, and all other procedures are gradually being moved from ExtraNet to NExt.

All relevant functions currently available in ExtraNet will also be provided in NExt. NExt also offers users new functions alongside the preexisting ones. The scope of NExt’s functions is under continuous development.

Customers are informed at an early stage of the upcoming changeover by the respective business unit. A timetable for orientation can be found in the section “Timeline for the changeover to NExt”.

What is NExt?

NExt is a modern and intuitive portal encompassing all user services and functions. It provides users with a simple, clear and customisable means of accessing everything they need. In addition, when using the portal, users see only the information and functions corresponding to their user rights and permissions. Each user can individually select the functions most relevant to them and thus personalise their NExt portal.

Scope of functionality

NExt offers a variety of basic services that are needed by a wide range of users, thus achieving the objectives of the NExt project. At the same time, these basic services are oriented towards standardisation. External customers benefit from this because it provides them with a single, uniform method of accessing comparable services in different areas of work that feature standardised content and functionalities. The Bundesbank follows the principle of “one face to the customer”, i.e. the design is consistent and standardised regardless of whether users connect via an API or make use of the GUI.

The following provides an overview of the basic services offered by NExt and whether these will be available immediately upon release of the MVP.
