Bundesbank presents open-air exhibition in Hanover
The Bundesbank’s open-air exhibition on German monetary Union will be on show from 5 January to 1 February 2021 in Hanover.
Due to current health and hygiene regulations, the exhibits will be displayed in a glass cube that can be viewed from the outside. Visitors will first embark on a journey back in time to 1989, from where they will take an informative look at the history of the single German currency. A short film evokes events back then. Original exhibits will also be on display to illustrate former working methods at the Bundesbank. Visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a quiz to win one of 20 popular collector coins.
The exhibition cube is located at Georgsplatz 5 in the city centre of Hanover, directly in front of the Bundesbank’s Regional Office. The exhibition cube was already on display in October 2020 at the EinheitsEXPO in Potsdam, in which numerous institutions participated.
