The House of the Euro was inaugurated by ECB President Christine Lagarde, eight central bank governors and the entire ECB Executive Board as a place for cooperation in Brussels between the European Central Bank, the Bundesbank and other central banks.

The CIC has a new deputy head and five employees have started working for the Bundesbank abroad – in Brussels, Istanbul and Beijing.

As part of the Bundesbank Invited Speakers Series, Beatrice Weder di Mauro held a talk entitled “Still too big to fail? The need for reform after the demise of Credit Suisse”. She was invited by the Bundesbank’s Research Centre, whose director, Falko Fecht, hosted the proceedings.
