Im zweiten Halbjahr 2022 erhöhte sich die Gesamtzahl bargeldloser Zahlungsvorgänge im Euroraum um 8,8 % auf 65,9 Milliarden im Vergleich zum vorangegangenen Sechsmonatszeitraum; der Gesamtwert stieg um 2,8 % auf 118,8 Billionen €. 54 % aller bargeldlosen Transaktionen waren im zweiten Halbjahr 2022 Kartenzahlungen; auf Überweisungen entfielen 20 %, auf Lastschriften 16 % und auf E-Geld-Zahlungsvorgänge 7 %.
