Die Leistungsbilanz wies im Juni 2022 einen Überschuss von 4 Mrd € auf (nach einem Defizit von 7 Mrd € im Vormonat). Der Leistungsbilanzüberschuss belief sich in den zwölf Monaten bis Juni 2022 auf 112 Mrd € (0,9 % des BIP des Euroraums), verglichen mit 361 Mrd € (3,1 % des BIP des Euroraums) im Zwölfmonatszeitraum bis Juni 2021.
 

The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is based in Basel and was established in 1930. Only central banks and comparable institutions can become members of this, the oldest international financial organisation. The Bundesbank is one of currently 63 members. The Bundesbank president automatically has a seat on the BIS Board of Directors.

Refugees who fled the war in Ukraine can exchange hryvnia banknotes for euros in Germany. The Federal Ministry of Finance and the Deutsche Bundesbank agreed with the National Bank of Ukraine to extend the offer to 18 November 2022. The German Banking Industry Committee (Deutsche Kreditwirtschaft) and its participating banks want to continue supporting refugees. The scheme’s conditions remain unchanged.

Im zweiten Quartal 2022 belief sich der Bestand an von Investmentfonds (ohne Geldmarktfonds) begebenen Anteilen auf 14 823 Mrd € und war damit um 1 022 Mrd € niedriger als im ersten Quartal 2022.

Im zweiten Quartal 2022 verringerte sich der Bestand an von finanziellen Mantelkapitalgesellschaften / Verbriefungszweckgesellschaften (FMKGs) im Euroraum begebenen Schuldverschreibungen auf 1 704 Mrd € nach 1 710 Mrd € im Vorquartal.
