Die Gesamtaktiva der Pensionseinrichtungen im Euro-Wahrungsgebiet stiegen im dritten Quartal 2021 geringfügig auf 3 252 Mrd €, verglichen mit 3 250 Mrd € im zweiten Quartal. Investmentfondsanteile machten im Berichtsquartal 47,8 % der Gesamtaktiva der Pensionseinrichtungen aus.

Die Leistungsbilanz wies im Oktober 2021 einen Überschuss von 18 Mrd € aus (unverändert gegenüber dem Vormonat).

The German economy will experience a setback in the final quarter of 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 on account of the pandemic, but is set to pick up significant momentum again in spring of next year. “The upswing has been slightly delayed,” said Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann at the presentation of his institution’s current projections. According to these projections, gross domestic product will increase by 2.5% this year – less strongly than anticipated back in June – in light of the dip in growth. Der EZB-Rat ist der Auffassung, dass die Fortschritte bei der wirtschaftlichen Erholung und im Hinblick auf sein mittelfristiges Inflationsziel eine schrittweise Verringerung seiner Ankäufe von Vermögenswerten in den kommenden Quartalen zulassen. Er wird die Nettoankäufe im Rahmen des PEPP Ende März 2022 einstellen.
