    Im ersten Halbjahr 2022 wurden in Deutschland rund 19.800 falsche Euro-Banknoten im Nennwert von knapp 1 Million Euro aus dem Verkehr gezogen. Die Anzahl der Fälschungen ging gegenüber dem zweiten Halbjahr 2021 um 3,9 Prozent zurück. Es entfielen fünf falsche Banknoten auf 10.000 Einwohner.
