With CashEDI the Deutsche Bundesbank offers its customers the possibility of carrying out transactions electronically using standardised electronic data exchanges. On the basis of GS1 international logistical standards, it is possible for professional cash handlers to electronically exchange cash-related data, such as lodgement notifications and cash orders, among themselves as well as with the Bundesbank. The Bundesbank issues a transaction-specific electronic message each time a cash payment is accepted and counted. This improves the transparency, security and also the efficiency of cash payment operations.

From 1 January 2013, it will be compulsory to carry out payment transactions electronically.

Participation in the specialised CashEDI procedure is only possible following prior registration using the customer data reporting form (only available in German).

We are agreed that excessive volatility and disorderly movements in exchange rates can have adverse implications for economic and financial stability. We will continue to consult closely on exchange markets and cooperate as appropriate."

Pier Carlo Padoan est ministre de l'économie et des finances dans le gouvernement italien depuis février 2014. Après des études d'économie, il a fait de la recherche puis enseigné comme professeur à l'université La Sapienza à Rome. À côté de sa carrière universitaire, M. Padoan a travaillé pour diverses organisations internationales. De 2001 à 2005, il faisait partie du conseil d’administration du Fonds monétaire international. De 2007 jusqu'à sa nomination dans le gouvernement italien, il était secrétaire général adjoint de l'Organisation de coopération et de développement économiques (OCDE), dont il était économiste en chef à partir de 2009. M. Padoan est né le 19 janvier 1950 à Rome.
