Observers are the Bank for International Settlement, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the OECD, the Sustainable Insurance Forum and the World bank and the International Finance Corporation.

    €2 coins cannot be issued over the counter at Bundesbank branches while these remain closed to private customers. Information on opening hours can be found on each branch’s website.

    The coins will gradually be brought into circulation in the process of meeting the normal cash needs of banks and retailers and so will sooner or later find their way into the cash payments system.

  • Über die Deutsche Bundesbank

    Die Deutsche Bundesbank wurde 1957 als Zentralbank der Bundesrepublik Deutschland gegründet. Der Sitz der Zentrale ist in Frankfurt am Main. Die Bundesbank trägt die Mit-Verantwortung für die Geldpolitik im Euroraum. Sie überwacht rund 3500 Kredit- und Finanzdienstleistungsinstitute in Deutschland und ist an der europäischen Bankenaufsicht beteiligt. Eine weitere Kernaufgabe ist die Beobachtung des Finanz- und Währungssystems in seiner Gesamtheit. Die Bundesbank versorgt zudem Handel und Banken mit qualitativ hochwertigem Euro-Bargeld, zieht Falschgeld aus dem Verkehr und ersetzt beschädigte Banknoten und Münzen. Sie sorgt schließlich für einen reibungslosen unbaren Zahlungsverkehr im Inland und mit dem Ausland. Die Bundesbank ist eine der drei Betreiber-Notenbanken von TARGET2, dem Zahlungsverkehrssystem des Eurosystems.

    Zum jetzigen Zeitpunkt umfasst das NGFS 13 Mitglieder und zwei Beobachter. Mitglieder sind: Banco de España, Banco de México, Bank Al Maghrib, Bank of England, Banque de France / Autorité de contrôle prudentiel et de résolution (ACPR), Bundesanstalt für Finanzdienstleistungsaufsicht (BaFin), De Nederlandsche Bank, Deutsche Bundesbank, European Central Bank, Finansinspektionen (Swedish FSA), Monetary Authority of Singapore, Oesterreichische National Bank, the People’s Bank of China. Beobachter sind die Bank for International Settlement und die OECD.

  • BIP sinkt im 2. Quartal 2020 um 10,1 Prozent

    Das Bruttoinlandsprodukt (BIP) ist im 2. Quartal 2020 gegenüber dem 1. Quartal 2020 – preis-, saison- und kalenderbereinigt – um 10,1 Prozent gesunken. Nach Angaben des Statistischen Bundesamts (Destatis) war das der stärkste Rückgang seit Beginn der vierteljährlichen BIP-Berechnungen für Deutschland im Jahr 1970. Erstmals veröffentlichte Destatis das BIP bereits 30 Tage nach Quartalsende und damit rund zwei Wochen früher als bisher. Die höhere Aktualität der Ergebnisse erfordere mehr Zuschätzungen als das nach 45 Tagen der Fall war, so Destatis.

    In einem gemeinsamen Schreiben an die Europäische Kommission setzen sich die Deutsche Bundesbank und 24 weitere europäische Zentralbanken und Aufsichtsbehörden dafür ein, die neuen Basel III-Regelungen vollständig und konsistent in europäisches Recht (CRD und CRR) umzusetzen. Dabei wird insbesondere eine mit Basel konforme Umsetzung des Output Floors und der neuen Standardmethode für das Kreditrisiko (KSA) betont. Eine Abweichung vom Baseler Abkommen könnte sich negativ auf das Vertrauen sowohl in den europäischen Bankensektor als auch in den EU-Rechtsrahmen auswirken. Daher ist es wichtig, dass die globalen Standards wie vereinbart vollständig und konsistent umgesetzt und eingehalten werden.
