Germany’s net international investment position stood at €1,709 billion at the end of 2016, thus amounting to around 54% of nominal gross domestic product. Year-on-year, the German net external asset position thereby increased by €231 billion.

Bundesbank posts €664 million profit in 2012
The Deutsche Bundesbank posted a profit of €664 million for the financial year 2012 compared with €643 million in 2011. This was paid over in full to the Federal Government on 12 March 2013 pursuant to section 27 number 2 of the Bundesbank Act.

Bundesbank erzielt 2011 Überschuss von 0,6 Mrd €
Die Deutsche Bundesbank hat im Geschäftsjahr 2011 einen Jahresüberschuss von 0,6 Mrd € erzielt, nach 2,2 Mrd € im Vorjahr. Dieser wurde gemäß § 27 Nr. 2 Bundesbankgesetz am 13. März 2012 in voller Höhe an den Bund abgeführt.
