Cash management at the Bundesbank
This course is designed for mid-level and senior employees involved in issuing and processing banknotes and coins or in dealing with counterfeit money as well as for executives and managers of groups, sections or divisions in the cash department. The European Central Bank and the national central banks of the Eurosystem began rolling out a second series of euro banknotes in May 2013. The last two denominations – the new €100 and €200 banknotes – will start circulating on 28 May 2019.

New €50 banknotes in circulation from 4 April Most important euro banknote denomination now even more counterfeit-proof
Starting on Tuesday, the Deutsche Bundesbank will be issuing the new €50 banknotes. Following on from the €5, €10 and €20 notes, the €50 note is now the fourth denomination of the new "Europa" series to be brought into circulation in Germany.

Range of services for non-business clients
For non-business clients, the Bundesbank offers cash-related services for the settlement of small-scale transactions. However, given that the minimum requirements applicable for transactions effected by business clients do not apply to business clients, the range of cash-related services available to these customers is restricted.

More counterfeit €10 and €20 banknotes in circulation

In 2020, the Bundesbank registered approximately 58,800 counterfeit euro banknotes with a nominal value of €2.9 million in German payments. The number of counterfeits thus rose by 6.5% on the year, while the nominal value of the banknotes seized fell by 14.3%.
