The November 2021 edition of the Monthly Report comments on the economic situation in Germany in autumn 2021.

The June 2021 edition of the Bundesbank’s Monthly Report outlines the outlook for the German economy for 2021 to 2023 and analyses how the central bank’s asset purchases increase the sensitivity of government finances to interest rate changes. It also features an article on central government debt and why interest payment premiums should be booked on an accrual basis, while, on the topic of local government debt, a further article discusses how local government budget imbalances can be avoided and cash advances limited.

The September 2018 Monthly Report explains the models that the Bundesbank uses to make its short-term economic forecasts as well as how these models have been updated. In addition, the Report also analyses the performance of German credit institutions in 2017. 

The April 2023 Monthly Report describes the relationship between money market conditions and the remuneration of government deposits. It also presents the results of the new household wealth survey. In addition, it discusses the impact of the current crises on international payments and how sustainability risks are factored into banking supervision.

The June 2020 edition of the Bundesbank’s Monthly Report outlines Germany’s economic outlook for 2020 to 2022 and features an article on the topic of cash withdrawals and payments in urban and rural areas.
