Das Geldvermögen der privaten Haushalte ist im dritten Quartal 2021 um 73 Milliarden Euro auf 7.399 Milliarden Euro gestiegen. Im Vergleich zu den Vorquartalen war das Wachstum unter Berücksichtigung sämtlicher Transaktionen und Bewertungsänderungen somit merklich schwächer.

As at the end of December 2015, households' financial assets amounted to €5,318 billion; this figure was €105 billion (or 2.0%) higher than at the end of the third quarter.

In the first quarter of 2023, households’ financial assets grew by €146 billion, standing at €7,393 billion at the quarter’s end. Following the declines in the first three quarters of 2022, the financial assets appear to be following the upward trend of the fourth quarter of 2022.

In the third quarter of 2024, German households’ financial assets grew by €197 billion, closing the quarter at a new record high of €9,004 billion. This is a continuation of the uninterrupted growth trend that has lasted since end-2023.
