The July 2017 edition of the Monthly Report describes the market for bonds issued by non-financial corporations in the low-interest-rate environment and developments in government interest expenditure in Germany and other euro area countries. It also contains articles on private interest income developments, taking into account inflation and taxes, as well as on the threats to the global economy posed by protectionist tendencies. Finally, the report also introduces the latest innovations in the monetary financial institutions’ (MFI) interest rate statistics.

The Monthly Report December 2014 describes the outlook for the German economy based on macroeconomic projections for the years 2015 and 2016 and comments on the financing and profitability of German enterprises in 2013.

The October 2017 Monthly Report analyses emerging market economies’ global liquidity, foreign reserves and exchange rates and contains an article on developments in the natural interest rate. In addition, the Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process for smaller institutions and proportionality considerations are described, and the initial results of the new money market statistics as well as the new insurance statistics are presented.

The October 2013 edition of the Monthly Report discusses the recent rises in house prices in Germany and looks at macroeconomic approaches to assessing price competitiveness. It also contains an article on "International cooperation in the area of financial sector policy – the Financial Stability Board (FSB)".

The June 2012 monthly report contains: Outlook for the German economy – macroeconomic projections for 2012 and 2013; The price of crude oil and its impact on economic activity in the industrial countries; The role of the “Basel interest rate shock” in the supervisory assessment of interest rate risks in the banking book.
