Important notes

  • NExt is used for uploading XML files and for communication and is the prerequisite for using the new AMS.

  • Registration in NExt and the existence of the business topic “Report submission” are the prerequisites for using the new AMS.
     
  • The PDF receipts are not currently being created. These are automatically regenerated soon.

Continue to use the existing ExtraNet/AMS when submitting the following reports:

  • DIREK reports (formerly K3/K4).

Using the general statistics reporting portal, reporting parties can create external payment and stock reports and send them to the Bundesbank in a secure electronic format. The system provides not only an overview of the reports already created but also allows reports that have already been sent to be corrected.

The main advantages of the reporting portal are

  • High level of security
  • Clear menu bar
  • No additional downloads or software licences required
  • Integrated interface for inserting your CSV files
  • Third-party submitter option (they report on behalf of parties required to report: tax advisors, lawyers, notaries, parent companies etc.)

Note on the redesign of the General Statistics Reporting Portal

In addition to the Bundesbank ExtraNet, the Bundesbank replace the General Statistics Reporting Portal (AMS) with a new development. The old AMS and ExtraNet are probably switched off as 31. October 2026 for the external sector. Please note all the information in the grey box above.

The new AMS offers user-friendly operation, high transparency and compliance with the latest safety standards. As before, it offers the option of manually entering reports or uploading them via a CSV file. XML files will be uploaded to NExt in future. Registration and activation in NExt for the AWB or AWN business area is a prerequisite for using the AMS.
