Reporting number
For the electronic submission of external sector reports, an application for notification of a report number shall be submitted, provided that it is not yet known or requested.
Please note that a reporting requirement only applies if the transaction value exceeds €50,000.
In the area of transaction reporting, individuals have the option of reporting up to three payments over €50,000 by telephone or email. However, individuals need a report number for regular payment reports and for stock reports on on participating interests.
Credit institutions should use their sort code instead of the reporting number.

Depending on the type of payment, we require the following information for the report:
- Purpose of the payment (e.g., purchase of real estate, gift, inheritance, etc.)
- Incoming or outgoing payment
- Amount of payment
- Month of payment
- Usually the country of the counterparty
- If you are reporting a securities transaction, you will additionally be required to provide information from your securities settlement note, in particular the ISIN
- In the case of securities purchases and sales outside Germany and non-resident securities falling due: quantity/par value, ISIN/securities identification number, issuer country, amount actually paid.
Please note that we cannot generate any reports for you without this information and that the reporting obligation is therefore considered unfulfilled.
